UK homeowners are being urged to invest in a solid wood floor for their properties in order to maximise its value, according a leading flooring website.
Wooden floors are an absolute favourite among potential buyers and it can also have a significant impact on the price of the property.
Solid wood flooring has greater durability than alternative materials. A spokesperson for a flooring website said: "If your house has hardwood floors, it's a wise strategy to show them at their best. If you're considering floor replacement before you list [your home], hardwood should be one of the options you explore."
Maintenance of the floor is very straight forward. A damp mop can be used to pick up the dust or a vacuum cleaner will keep the floor looking its best. If part of the floor does get damaged, replacement planks are available and easily fitted.
