Rubber flooring restoration

Over time, rubber flooring can become dull in appearance. Despite this, it is possible to restore some shine to the surface; however, this restoration process does require some significant work.

Here is a simple guide on how you can restore the appearance of your rubber floor:

Step 1 - Take four ounces of a detergent and dissolve in a bucket filled with a gallon of water. Use a wooden stick to stir round to create a cleaning solution.

Step 2 - Sweep away any lingering dirt, dust or debris with a broom. Now clean you can apply your solution to the floor with a deck brush. Once applied allow to soak for around 10 minutes.

Step 3 - Work the brush to clean away tough stains. Take a wet vacuum to clear away the standing water. Use clean water to rinse away any remnants of the cleaning solution. Leave to dry.

Step 4 - Now the floor has been cleaned, it is possible to add an acrylic floor finish. This should be applied with a mop. Once the first coat has been added, leave to dry for around half an hour, then apply another coat; then simply leave to dry overnight.
