Cork flooring has become well-loved in recent times as an option that provides the home with a spectacularly unique appearance. However, like other flooring options, cork is prone to become damaged over time.
It is possible to repair cork flooring that has been damaged. Here are three simple steps that you can follow to do so:
Step 1 - Find each damaged section of your cork flooring. Once you've done this, test a small amount of wood filler on a hidden part of the floor - this test will allow you to ensure that both the colour and consistency of the wood filler match the floor.
Step 2 - Take the filler and apply to all damaged areas, smoothing it down with a putty knife once each damaged section is filled. Do this for all damaged sections.
Step 3 - Allow to dry, then using sand paper sand away any rough, uneven edges. If the rest of your floor has been sealed, you may want to take the same step for the newly repaired sections too. If this isn't the case, simply clear away any dust particles to finish the repair process.
