Removing odours from your bathroom's granite flooring

Granite flooring has, in recent times, become a flooring option popular in the bathroom and kitchen.

In a busy home, accidents can happen - especially when toddlers and pets are involved. As a result, unpleasant odours can pose problems with granite flooring.

Thankfully, these odours can be easily removed. To help you out, we've produced a short simple guide, detailing how you can go about removing these odours from your granite flooring:

Step 1 - Apply a Stone Cleaner - The stone cleaner should be sprayed directly onto the surface. Take a scrub brush to work it in - this will help to remove particles clinging to the surface. Using a sponge soaked with warm water, rinse the cleaner away before thoroughly scrubbing at the affected area with the brush.

Once finished, leave to dry.

Step 2 - Apply a Poultice - Poultices can be purchased either in powder or liquid form from a DIY store. Mix the poultice, following the exact instructions printed on the packaging. It will remove and eliminate all traces of odour from the granite - though it needs to be left an hour to work in most cases.

Take a scrub brush and some warm water and rinse away the poultice from the granite flooring. Remove the poultice and clear the area.
