No matter what type of floor covering you have laid down in your home, over time it's going to become damaged by general wear and tear; this will sometimes result in the flooring needing to be removed - in order to be replaced.
Rubber flooring tiles, in particular, are extremely easy to remove; here's a how-to guide, displaying how you can go about removing your damaged, worn rubber flooring tiles in an effective manner:
Step 1 - Ensure that you're safely prepared for the task beforehand; wear gloves to protect your hands and goggles to protect your eyes.
Step 2 - Begin in the corner of the room; slide a putty knife under the edge of the tile located nearest to the corner, then pull the knife upwards to loosen the tiles' attachment to the subfloor.
Step 3 - Take a pair of pliers and pull the now loosened tile away. Repeat step 2 and this step until you've removed all of the other remaining tiles in the room.
Step 4 - In order to remove any remaining adhesive from the subfloor, take a scraper and scrape away. If the adhesive is particularly difficult to remove, apply mineral spirits to a cleaning cloth and rub onto any hardened glue or remaining rubber - this should make it easier to scrape away.
