Removing adhesive from wood flooring using peanut butter!

Although undoubtedly beautiful, wooden flooring will have, in many contemporary homes, once have been covered by carpet or another such floor covering at some point in time.

Often the remains of the adhesive used to keep this floor covering down will be all too visible on the layer of wood flooring.

Unsightly and detrimental to the wood floor's overall finish, it is understandable the reason why you'd want to get rid of any lingering adhesive.

So with this in mind, we've produced a short guide, detailing just one of the stranger methods you can use to remove adhesive from your wood flooring.

Peanut Butter -

Okay, so it isn't the most orthodox of products, but peanut butter will work - however, only if it is an all-natural variety made only from peanuts.

Peanuts contain certain natural oils that will work to break down the bonding agent used in adhesives. To use this method, dip your finger in the peanut butter and apply to the adhesive - ensuring that it's rubbed in.

As you do this, the adhesive will begin to fall away in tiny balls. Continue to use this tactic until all is removed, then wipe away the peanut butter with piece of cloth - dampened with soapy water.
