Polishing your granite flooring

The lustrous yet durable surface of granite flooring makes it an extremely popular option in high traffic areas of the home, such as kitchens.

One of those coverings that simply exudes class and a sophisticated sense of style, granite needs to be polished on a regular basis. So with this in mind we've created a short guide on how you can go about polishing your granite floor:

Step 1 - Take a plastic bucket; combine three cups of water with a quarter of a cup of baking soda - ensuring that you stir well.

Step 2 - Soak a sponge in the solution and then wring out.

Step 3 - Now the sponge is damp - but not saturated - rub around in a circular motion; this will polish the floor's surface.

Step 4 - Once the floor has been polished, take a chamois cloth and use it to dry away an remnants of the polish and bring out the luster in the surface.
