Not installing solid wood flooring could devalue a property

Consumers who are looking to replace their floor who decide against solid wood flooring could be reducing the overall value of their property, according to a leading floor manufacturer.

At the time people may feel like they are making the right decision, but further down the line most consumers regret not opting for a top-of-the-range flooring product.

Many homeowners fall into the trap of purchasing low-quality flooring cheaper laminate flooring instead favouring more durable products that add a touch of elegance to a property.

A recent survey by estate agents showed that buyers are much more likely purchase a property if solid wood flooring has been installed.  Property insider, Elizabeth Sincox, commented: "I've had buyers ... tell me they would have bought the house if only it had real genuine hardwood floors. Laminate floors aren't fooling anyone. We all know they're not real."
