Here's a simple four-step guide on how to remove scratches from laminate flooring:

• The first thing to do is to purchase a good repair kit – these can be purchased from most DIY or hardware stores. When making the purchase, take along a sample of your flooring, as this will make it easier to get a correct colour match.
• Once you have the repair kit, open it and take out the putty and the putty knife – using the former to fill in the scratches and the latter to give a smooth finish.
• Using a dry cloth, clean the area ensuring that no excess putty remains.
• To finish, use clear finger nail polish on the repaired area – as this will aid the sealing process.
