Common rubber flooring forms

Due partly to technological advance, and partly to the demand for a flooring option that is both durable and simple to maintain, rubber flooring, in recent times, has gained much popularity.

Rubber flooring is similar to vinyl, in that it is available in a number of different forms - each produced to meet a variety of specific demands.

The most common is sheeting. Rubber flooring pulled off of a roll is much easier to cut to a correct size; also the form you're likely to find in your local DIY store, rubber flooring in sheet form will usually offer a number of unique designs.

Tiles are also quite popular, allowing homeowners to create stylish patterns. However, rubber flooring tiles aren't the best in the bathroom; in time you'll find that water will get in between the tiles' seam - causing the subfloor to become damaged.

With a huge amount of focus placed on using more environmentally friendly materials, recycled rubber has become the flooring of choice for the conscientious.
