Cleaning your bamboo floor

In recent times bamboo wood flooring has become a smart choice for the home - largely thanks to its durable properties.

As well as being a durable option, bamboo also offers a stunning range of colours, both light and dark in tone - making it great for both contemporary and rustic homes.

Keeping it clean is relatively simple; here is a guide detailing how you can do so:

Dry mop - A dry mop round the floor on a regular basis will see that dust and dirt is removed - preventing a build-up, which can increase the risk of the surface becoming scratched. This should be carried out every other day.

Vacuum - Vacuuming every week will ensure that any dirt missed, whilst mopping, is removed. When doing this you should always make sure you have a soft bristle attachment - as the vacuum could gouge or scratch the floor.

Mop - Once a month, you should create a cleaning solution - from one cup of white vinegar and one gallon of luke warm water - to mop the floor with.

You should submerge your mop, before wringing it out and then mopping to remove any tougher stains or marks from the floor. Remember, the less water you use, the better.
