Deciding what to change or replace your current flooring with can be a difficult choice to make.
Though many people may prefer carpet to a laminate floor, carpet possesses some negative factors that may put some people off purchasing it.
For example, when a carpet becomes stained or marked, many will suggest an expensive professional cleaning service to ensure common spills – such as red wine – are dealt with correctly; and also to ensure your carpet is kept looking at its best.
Laminate flooring on the other hand suffers no such problem; the surface is specially designed, in most cases, meaning most spills require no special treatment – other than a good, regular clean with a mop and bucket.
To ensure a carpet is correctly maintained, regular vacuuming needs to be undertaken too; whereas with laminate flooring, a simple, non-flexing tidy round the room with a dustpan and brush will usually do the job.
