Bedroom flooring that is attractive but comfortable

Choosing the right flooring option to go under a bed is vital, it's all about attractiveness and comfort, as it can have a real impact on the rest of the room.

Ceramic tiles may be the best option in warmer countries, but  they are unlikely to be comfortable under-foot during cold winters in the UK.

Therefore home owners need to consider a surface that will feel pleasant all year-long, so wood, laminate flooring and carpet often prove popular choices.

Most people will want the option that requires as little maintenance as possible, which is why carpet is always popular, and is the most commonly used flooring for bedrooms.

TV interior designer Linda Barker recently highlighted that adding a rug to a room is a great way of injecting a new lease of life, especially if it is strategically placed.

She recommended placing it under an existing item of furniture, such as a coffee table, in order to create the maximum impact.
