Wood flooring 'ideal for kitchen makeover'

Fitting wood flooring in the kitchen is one of the simplest ways to give the room a new look, according to a real estate expert.

Writing for the North Fork Vue, Andrea Aurichio said the kitchen is one of the most used rooms in the home, meaning people like to keep it looking good.

It is expensive to fit a whole new kitchen every time the homeowner wants to give it a different look, but Ms Aurichio said there are smaller projects people can undertake when they feel it is time for a change.

One of the "quick fix" options available is to change the flooring, she explained, as there are now a wide range of affordable products available which will have the desired impact.

"Hardwood floors can replace old linoleum floors for an updated look," she said.

Ms Aurichio added that any money spent on improving the condition of the kitchen is a good investment, as it will create a more pleasant living environment and make the home more attractive to buyers.

The Press and Journal recently suggested that January is a good time of year to refurbish the kitchen, as it is often possible to negotiate good deals from equipment suppliers.ADNFCR-2810-ID-19545188-ADNFCR
