Wood flooring 'can bring warmth to a space'

The character and warmth which wood flooring can bring to a space has been highlighted in a new guide to helping homeowners create cosy rooms.

Writing for the Vital Voice, Rajeev Tailor said that as we move ever closer to autumn, the warmth of a home becomes increasingly important.

He took something of a controversial stance by recommending infusing a home with modern design to create an inviting tone and advised homeowners to look into combining wood furnishings with wood flooring.

"An espresso stained oak buffet sitting on a walnut floor can be gorgeous," Mr Tailor said.

A recent article in the Montreal Gazette also claimed that wood flooring can often be used to complement a home's wood furnishings to great effect.

Mr Tailor went on to praise the use of wood in a home, stating that there is no substitute for the warmth and character it can bring to a space.
