TV chef 'immediately' replaces wood flooring

TV chef Anjum Anand of Indian Food Made Easy has revealed that, after "snapping up" her current £760,000 Hampstead home, she immediately got to work on replacing the wood flooring with solid floors made from African hardwood.

Following the birth of her child Mahiya, Anand and her partner made the decision to upgrade to bigger premises and the Daily Mail reports that she plans to take "plenty of time" while searching for the perfect home.

She also expressed the importance of the kitchen in relation to any property decisions.

"It's a practical space, but it's not my dream kitchen. That's another reason to take plenty of time before choosing our next home," she said.

Anand's emphasis on the kitchen echoes the sentiments of a Manilla Bulletin article which claimed that the living room had been usurped by the kitchen as "undisputed king of the interior".

The Mail also consulted local estate agent Andrew Michaels who claimed that waiting for fluctuations in the housing market would not pay off, due to the high demand in the area.
