Theatre's classic wood flooring to be refinished
The classic wood flooring of a theatre is to be refinished as part of a complete overhaul of the building.
A recent article for the OakRidger.com explored the work going on at the Oak Ridge Community Playhouse in Tennessee and noted plans to refinish the building's hardwood floors.
"Key improvements include: Installation of a new electronic marquee; new carpet and upgraded lighting in the auditorium and lobby; refinishing the original hardwood floors, new seating and a new … curtain," said the article.
It went on to note that phase one improvement work will begin on the interior in December 2010, following the Playhouse's final production of Scrooge!
Similarly, exterior work will commence slightly earlier, scheduled for a week before Thanksgiving night.
In a recent article for the Deccan Herald, columnist Guarav Saraf promoted the importance of the choice of flooring. He noted that it impacts on "every other element" of a home's interior design.
