Refinished wood flooring used in refurbished property
Refinished wood flooring has been used to reinvigorate a newly-refurbished property in Canada.
Speaking to the Calgary Herald, homeowner Lana Wood discussed her recent renovations on her 50-year-old property.
She revealed that she had felt "cramped" in her old-fashioned house and grew tired of the out dated decor.
The Wood family undertook extensive renovations, which meant moving out of the house for a few months while the kitchen was gutted and the dining area given a facelift.
"We removed hardwood floor out of the dining room and put new flooring in the kitchen and took some of that floor and feathered it in where the old wood meets the new," said Mrs Wood.
Earlier in the month, fellow Canadian Calvin Onyszchuk of Alberta Hardwood Flooring told the publication that wood flooring's ability to undergo multiple renovations is one of the reasons for its popularity.
He noted that the material is "pretty much standard" in new builds.
