New wood flooring product 'can make installation easier'
A new wood flooring product has been promoted as making the installation process easier for homeowners and other non-professionals.
Writing for Yourhome.ca, columnist Steve Maxwell reported on a new adhesive-backed foam underlay which can be used to facilitate the laying of wood flooring.
"Besides speeding up installation by eliminating the need for nailing or clicking, the [Elastilon] adhesive feature offers several other unique benefits that leads to better floor performance," he said.
Mr Maxwell went on to explore the ways in which Elastilon eased the installation process.
He noted that the work begins by trimming a length off the Elastilon roll, before laying it down and peeling the backing off.
Homeowners then place the boards down before leaving the gluing process to its work in forming a tight bond between bonds, which can potentially last for decades.
According to a Home Tips wood flooring installation guide, the material makes a great edition to living rooms and dining areas.
