'Learn to spot wood flooring defects', home buyers warned
Those seeking to buy or rent a property have been advised to ensure they know how to spot flaws in wood flooring.

She spoke to a number of real estate developers, interior designers and experts to find out what prospective buyers should be aware of when looking around a potential new home.
Peter Varsalona, an engineer who specialises in on-site surveys of new properties, warned Ms Urban of the issues which can occur with freshly-laid wood flooring.
"Many times we find that not only is the finish improper, but you can see many kinds of defects in flooring such as cupping, the joints are too close or too far apart," he said.
A Wood You Like guide to the installation of wood floors warns homeowners of the dangers posed by having an underfloor which is damp or not level.
