Harry Potter designer transforms Dulwich home

A member of the art team responsible for a Hogwarts replica featured in the Harry Potter films has applied his skills to renovating his Dulwich home.

The Mail reports that Steve Fox and his wife Tracy carried out extensive remodelling of their home on a budget of only £110,000.

Over four years Steve transformed the "dreary" townhouse into an ultra-modern home, now on the market for just under £900,000.

After being unsatisfied with the house when they moved in, the couple enlisted the help of an architect and drew up plans to radically change the property.

Tracy told the publication: "When we found the house it was dull, dull, dull. It had been changed around and we felt there was nothing worth saving."

This news follows advice from property expert George Clarke who in a Mirror article, earlier in the month claimed that even modest DIY could provide a boost to sales in a troubled market.
