Dead garden space 'can be used as studio'
An artist could provide inspiration for anyone wondering what to with room in their back garden that is currently wasted.
During a recent interview with the Guardian, Jaspar Joseph-Lister revealed how he converted some of the dead space in his garden area outside his house into a contemporary workspace which he now uses as his studio.
According to the report, the building is half below ground with no two walls or windows the same. Mr Joseph-Lister explained that the architects behind the design of the building followed his idea of creating a "structure that maximised the work space while minimising the footprint".
He added that the plan was to make sure that the area he now uses to create video installations and writing "disorientated people" was hidden as he did not want it to be clear what the building was from the outside.
Lindsay Cuthill of Savills estate agents recently advised homeowners to improve the outside of their property in order to increase its value.
