Coverings 'can make or break wood flooring'
The importance of the correct use of coverings on wood flooring has been highlighted in a new guide.
Writing for Yourhome.ca, columnist Mar Atiyolil responded to the query of one reader who was considering his choices of floor coverings and wished to know which one would best complement his wood floors.
Mr Atiyolil responded by explaining that the use of floor coverings and rugs is vital to the interior of a home.
"Homeowners change around their colour schemes, furniture and accessories but forget that what 'grounds' the entire design is the floor. The chosen floor covering can make or break the space," he said.
Mr Atiyolil went on to note that a durable covering is preferable for high-traffic areas and said homeowners should view the purchase of such products as a long-term investment.
This comes after a recent LoHud article highlighted the importance of getting kitchen refurbishments done in time for the holiday season.
