Wood flooring 'becoming more popular'
An American flooring retailer has revealed the growing popularity of wood flooring among his clients.
Writing for Naples News, columnist Valerie Syren stated that the Naples area is renowned for its home building and renovation businesses.
She spoke to Tim Tuttle, owner of A Floor Source, who goes the extra mile for his clients and aims to give the personal touch to the purchase of wood flooring materials.
He explained about the growing popularity of engineered wood floors, which he said are seeing increased demand.
"Basically, it's a veneer of real wood on top with plywood sub-layers beneath it," Mr Tuttle said.
He went on to explain that the material provides great resistance against the humid climate of Florida and that the entire installation is carried out by his veteran subcontracting team.
A Channel 4 building guide states that engineered wood floors are better suited to underfloor heating than many other flooring types.
