London office owner chooses wood flooring

Installing new wood flooring has helped the owner of an office building in London to find new tenants.

The commercial property market in London has been badly hit by the financial crisis, with demand for office space declining due to the number of companies making redundancies.

Landlords keen to fill empty office buildings have had to resort to either price cuts or improving the condition of their premises.

Benesco Charity chose the latter option for its National House building on Wardour Street.

Colin Becker, equity director of commercial property agent MERJS, explained: "The offices situated on the fourth floor of National House have recently been refurbished to include wooden flooring throughout and full air conditioning. The office accommodation is of an excellent standard."

This improvement work helped the agent to let the fourth floor of the building to Hive Health on a five-year contract, with an annual rent of £70,245.ADNFCR-2810-ID-19541753-ADNFCR
