Engineered wood flooring to feature in new homes
A new high-rise housing project in Calgary is set to feature homes containing engineered wood flooring as standard.
The Drake project, undertaken by Grosvenor America, is set to price its suites at C$159,900 (£99,000) and the company claims the homes will be built with location, design and quality in mind.
Senior vice president and general manager of Grosvenor Americas - Vancouver and Calgary James Patillo said that boutique homes in the best location for urban life in Calgary are a deal "people will take notice of".
"With Drake, we really feel we're ahead of the curve. As the economy has stabilised and construction costs have reset, we are leveraging this and moving forward with the development," he said.
In addition to their engineered wood flooring, all Drake homes will come equipped with European-style ceramics, composite stone countertops and a range of stainless steel appliances.
A recent PostMedia News guide stated that homeowners should ensure they know the difference between the various types of engineered wood.
